Dr. Michael Weaks

Michael Weaks, DDS

Dr. Mike Weaks, a 1992 graduate of Baylor Dental College, joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 1997. He continues to study extensively and teaches others about the art and science of restoring beautiful smiles and the overall health of the mouth.

Dr. Weaks practices both laser dentistry and computerized dentistry. The dental laser is an important tool for establishing optimum gum health and creating an even gingival smile line. Computerized dentistry uses the newest technology in designing dental restorations (like crowns) on the computer and placing them in the mouth all in one visit. Trained to administer IV and oral sedation, he offers comfortable sleep dentistry for his patients.

"We should realize that the mouth is a functioning integral part of the upper torso. Besides chewing, the mouth communicates, displays emotions, bears our day-to-day stress, and dictates the relationship of the other muscles in the head and neck." For this reason, Dr. Weaks uses a neuro-muscular approach to determine the best options for tooth restoration. "Most people we've taken through oral rehabilitation report improvement or elimination of neck pain, back pain, TMJ disorders and, especially, migraines."

Dr. Mike Weaks is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and of the newly founded Academy of Computerized Dentistry.
